Person running graphic Thanks from an Award Winner

A recent message received from AMA award winner Albert Gay.

G'day Lynne,

I'd just like to say how privileged I feel to have been awarded the Multi Event award for 2007, and I apologise for not being present to receive it formally. I just didn't think about it; there are so many terrific athletes about that It didn't enter my head. My dicky hamstring consumed all my thoughts going into the championships and unfortunately it let me down.

I would like to thank all the office bearers of AMA, and indeed all the office bearers of the States, for without your tremendous work, blokes like me wouldn't be able to do what we like to do, and that is compete. God knows what we would do if we didn't have someone to do the organising and administration for us. I most certainly appreciate it and don't take it for granted.

The new beaut shoes are terrific and I have sent a "thank you" to for their voucher and their support for the AMA.

The award got us some publicity locally and I attach the article from the local paper.

Many, many Thanks again.

Albert Gay
