Entrants

Athletes list by event and schedule of events are now available. Entrants should check at the time of registration in Brisbane for any late changes to the event schedule.

39th Australian Masters Athletics championships

Queensland Masters Athletics are hosting the 39th Australian Masters Athletics championships which will be conducted in Brisbane. Unlike previous Championships, the four day event will commence late morning on Thursday 21st April and conclude Sunday 24th April so that the Championships will conclude before Anzac Day.

The Championships will be conducted at the Queensland State Athletics Centre (QSAC), Kessels Road Nathan. The second track has just been resurfaced and will provide an ideal location for warm ups and the conduct of a number events.

Cross Country

The course is at Minnippi Parklands, Tingalpa. Minnippi Parklands has BBQ areas, wide open spaces, meandering creeks, walking tracks, a boardwalk, natural bushland, canoeing, wildlife, lakes ams a “Let’s make believe Playspace for 5 to 10 year olds. Vehicular entry is from Stanton Road West, Tingalpa. A map of the park and surrounding areas can be googled at Minnippi Parklands Brisbane.

Road Walk

Will be conducted on a loop around the QSAC stadium.

Transport

Public bus services can be accessed from nearby accommodation to the track. However, the LOC are looking at the possibility of providing a shuttle bus service at peak times for athletes staying at local accommodation. Athletes staying in Brisbane City precinct will access public transport. The track is situated 12kms SE of the CBD with Bus Routes 140, 130, 131 providing a service from Brisbane City. Dinner and Awards Evening

Will be a fun night with a smart casual the dress theme. Barefoot bowls will be part of the evening so be ready to dress your feet for the occasion (special award for the best dressed/decorated). The dinner will be held at the Mt Gravatt Bowls Club in Logan Road, 600m north from Garden City.
